The Taurus:
The symbol of those who make their mark.

Each edition of the Outdoor Film Festival celebrates uniqueness and talent with the Taurus, a ceramic statuette handcrafted by a local artist. This award, unique and not mass-produced, pays homage to the tradition and vision that drive our festival.

Legend has it that San Valentino Torio, in ancient times, was known as the "City of Bulls." Its lush countryside was filled with stables where these majestic animals embodied strength, resilience, and vitality. The Taurus symbolizes those values but also represents innovation and youthful spirit—a perfect synthesis of past and future.

Our festival stands out for its international focus and its commitment to promoting young talents and major figures in the global film industry. The Taurus has been awarded to beloved Italian faces such as Matilde Gioli and Lino Guanciale, as well as iconic figures like Michael Caton-Jones, Stuart Martin, Kat Graham, and Kelly Rutherford. These artists, with their talent and passion, have inspired young creatives from around the world to push their boundaries and make their mark.

Now in its third edition, the Taurus continues to represent a bridge between tradition and innovation, a symbol that celebrates internationality and the courage of young visionaries. Just like the legendary bulls, those who receive the Taurus exemplify strength and determination, serving as role models for new generations and for the global audience that follows the festival.
